Labor & Wait Trial licence agreement

This is an agreement between you and Labor & Wait. By downloading the trial fonts, you accept its terms. If you do not accept them, please do not download the trial fonts.
You may download trial fonts on behalf of another organisation, including a client, but you must share this agreement with that organisation.
What you are receiving from Labor & Wait is a free, limited, non-transferable licence to use trial versions of digital typeface software (hereafter 'trial fonts') for evaluation only. You are not acquiring the copyright to the design of the trial fonts, only the right to evaluate them.
The trial fonts are provided in OpenType (.otf) format only, with a reduced glyph set of basic letters, numerals, and punctuation. They are not intended for finished work.
Who may use the trial fonts:
- People within your organisation, and contractors evaluating the trial fonts on its behalf.
What you can do with trial fonts:
- Install them on desktop/laptop computers and test them in layouts and design applications.
- Create comps, mockups, and presentation materials to share privately with clients, colleagues, or stakeholders.
- Embed them in presentation files such as PDF, PowerPoint, or Keynote, in a way that prevents extraction.
What you may not do with the trial fonts:
- Release any work using them to print, web, broadcast, or any other public medium.
- Upload them to a font server, web font service, or online design platform.
- Embed them in websites, applications, games, or other software.
- Distribute them to anyone outside your organisation, except as described above.
Moving to a full licence:
- Before any work using the trial fonts is released publicly, you must purchase the appropriate licence and replace the trial fonts with the full versions.
- If you decide not to license the fonts, please delete the trial fonts.
Modifications:
- You may make reasonable modifications to the trial fonts for evaluation, including adjusting spacing and subsetting glyphs.
- You may not create or distribute derivative typefaces based on the trial fonts.
No warranty:
- The trial fonts are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, and Labor & Wait accepts no liability arising from their use.
Termination.
- This licence continues until you delete the trial fonts or we end it by notice to you. When it ends, you must stop using the trial fonts and delete every copy in your possession or control.
- If you materially breach this agreement — for example, by using or sharing the trial fonts beyond what this licence allows — we will notify you in writing and give you thirty days to put it right. If the breach isn't cured within that time, we may terminate this licence. The sections of this agreement that by their nature should survive — including this one — will.
The fine print:
- Nothing in this agreement limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
- If part of this agreement is found unenforceable, the rest stands. This is the whole agreement between us about the trial fonts.
We grant the rights of use of our trial fonts to you in good faith, and request that you adhere to the terms of this agreement to the best of your ability, and in good faith.
Labor and Wait is the brand under which Village Type & Design LLC conducts its business. All contracts, invoices, and legal agreements are issued by Village Type & Design LLC, the registered legal entity.
